When Limerick freshened in 2021, we thought "Wow this goat is going to milk". And we were not wrong! She pushed out a 3000 lb lactation as a doe and showed well for us throughout the season. She was always the third in the trio of our 2 Yr Olds, however was consistently towards the top. Like her mother Elegy- we know Limerick is going to be a milk truck. She capped off her year with a perfect appraisal score for a first freshener at FS 89!

One of our favorite kids even though she is young.  She will make an outstanding junior yearling.  She has been 3x1st despite her young age.  Shown only once this year, she was 1st, GCH, and BIS.  2nd place Jr. Yearling 2024 ADGA National Show

Frolic was purchased from our friends at Maple Wind - we love her general appearance and her sweet disposition.  She was 2nd place Intermediate Kid at the 2023 ADGA National Show.  She has her dry leg and one BIS for the year.  At this time, we plan to keep her as a dry yearling.

Romance was the second place senior kid at the 2023 ADGA National Show.  She has a lovely style and personality.  She has her dry leg.  So far in 2024, she has been shown 4x - 3x1st and 1x 2nd to Revolt.  She was 10th place yearling milker this year at the ADGA National Show.  She reminds us so much of her grand dam, Lesson, and hope she matures like as we believe she will.

The 2022 ADGA National Junior Champion freshened awesome - she has had a tremendous year this year being 6x1st and 2x 2nd to Phrenzy.  She is very mature looking and has milked very well with most tests being above twelve pounds.  We placed both of her bucks in new homes this spring and look forward to the great things they will do.   Already projected over 5,000 lbs, Passion is a milk goat.  But, she is pretty as well.  2x1st, 1xGCH, 1x Reserve as a two-year old.

We have high hopes that Nonsense will follow in her sister, Laughter's footsteps.  She completed an amazing show career as a where she was BIS at the competitive Wisconsin State Fair.  She freshened in January with a single doe kid and absolutely no udder.  We have gotten her to a consistent seven pound a day milker, but the udder is not where it needs to be.  Also, Nonsense is on the heavy side this year.  While her appraisal score was our lowest, we still are impressed by her E in general appearance as she is pretty to look at in her overall style, length, and levelness! She freshened this year and has tests already at 14 lbs.  Unfortunately, a bout with mastitis has made her a bit uneven.  She has consistently placed near the top of the class with 2x1st and 2x Reserve.  She was 13th at the ADGA National Show - with a normal freshening this year, I will predict she could be a future star.

One of my favorite yearlings from 2022 who has truly blossomed in 2023  She appraised well...is milking well and has two beautiful daughters in the herd.  She is out of Fancy and shares a lot of her qualities, but she has the general appearance one would expect from Saga.  She has been milking so well this year that she truly has not carried the weight we typically like to see our does.  She is also not the biggest doe but is so balanced.  Her doe kid by Jive was the first place junior kid at the 2022 ADGA National Show.  This daughter freshened in 2024 and has not disappointed.  Her Junior yearling daughter was 2nd place at the ADGA National Show and has been BIS this year.  In 2024, Notoriety has been a bit uneven but she continues to milk well and carry a bit more weight this year!

Mayhem is a very stylish doe with one of the best mammary systems on the farm.  She began this year going 2xGCH and 1xBIS.  She has been first place at the Indiana State Fair and 3rd at the Wisconsin State Fair.  She has a lovely  daughter, Panic, who freshened this year and has improved length over her dam.  Shown at the 2024 ADGA National Show she was 8th place and was praised for her lovely mammary system.

Layla has always been a favorite of ours among the Roeburn does.  When we saw there was a buck available and it was sired by Baron we jumped at the opportunity to add him.  We love that Saga Whimsay is on the top of the pedigree and Saga Zealot is on the bottom. This buck kid has one of the best sets to the rear leg and width that we have seen.  He seems to be throwing these positive traits and we are excited to see his daughters mature.

This pedigree is loaded Akebono daughter bred to Akebono's brother whose sire is sired by a Kickapoo Valley buck.  I believe that Ammo has the ability to create some really special goats here.  As a three year old, he is tall, long, level with exceptional feet and legs.  We will use him on a number of does this year.  Ammo has milking daughters who already show improvements over their dams.  Special thanks to Jessica Krause for allowing Ammo to come live with us!

Novel was the first place Junior Yearling at the 2022 ADGA National Show and our only daughter from Jive whom we lost this spring.  Novel has incredible general appearance.  Her mammary is well attached although we would like to see a more pleasing size of teat.  Despite that she has been a number of times 2nd this year behind Notoriety and was 1x 1st in a ring where Notoriety was not shown.  Like Nonsense, she freshened with just a single this year, but her daughter, Romance, has been one of our favorite kids and placed 2nd at the ADGA National Show.

Memory is starting to look like her mom more and more by the day. Memory had good show season in 2022 year consistency placing towards the top of the class- including at the Indiana and Wisconsin State Fair. Memory placed 8th place at the ADGA National Show and milked well as a yearling milker. In 2022 she was 7x1st and 2x 2nd.  She place 10th at the ADGA National Show. She was only shown a couple of times in 2023 and was typically in the middle of the class.   She is the dam of the 2022 ADGA National Junior Champion so we believe she is a good brood doe.  She now resides in Wisconsin with Cameron.

As our last Lifeline daughter, we have  high expectations for this girl. So far, she has not let us down. She was a growth junior yearling with much width and strength in her feet and legs. She was been 3xRGCH, 2xGCH and was the 1st place Junior Dry Yearling at the 2013 ADGA National Show. Charisma was a slow maturing 2 year old, and had a very rough kidding. She does have a nice shape and size to her udder. In 2014, she freshened with a lot of milk and condition to her. She now is a competitive three year old and we expect her to continue to improve with age. Charisma finished her championship this season going 1xRGCH, 2xGCH, 2xBOB. Charisma came from a very slow maturing line, however as a 4 Year Old she matured just right! She was 3rd Place, 3rd Udder Age Doe behind the National and Reserve National Champion, member of the first place Senior Best 3, and First Place Dairy Herd at the 2016 National Show. This doe combines all four areas of the scorecard to be one of the most balanced does in the herd!

Oregon Trail was donated by our good friend Stephaine Rovey from the Rhonde Grande herd in Oregon to the Illinois Dairy Goat Association Raffle/ Sale, in which they managed to pull our ticket out of! We are so happy to have Oregon Trail in our herd to compliment the current genetics we have. His paternal sister, Joheas Acres Abriana was the 2014 Reserve National Champion and Best Udder at the National Show as well as Reserve Best Udder at the 2015 ADGA National Show. As well as his dam, SG Joheas-Acres Dahnay, was the first place 3 Year Old in 2014 as well as the ADGA Junior National Champion in 2012. This buck has tons of success in his pedigree, and we look to using him heavily in 2016!

From the start, Whimsay was a star - she was 5x1st, 2x2nd, and 4xBIS as a kid as well as being Junior National Champion in 2006. When she freshened, she did not disappoint us; judges had a a difficult time believing she was a yearling because of her size and capacity. She had triplets as a yearling and all three were sold across the United States. In 2008, Whimsay had a single buck out of ++*B Hoach's Lyric Liason; who has gone on to sire numerous winning offspring in the Roeburn herd. He has also sired a number of sons who have gone to produce great offspring including our very own Roeburn's KVLW Be Proud Merry. She also has had sons in herds in WI, OH, and CT.  Whimsay is tall (35 inches at the withers), and also excels length.  She has wonderful feet and legs even still at the age of 10. In 2012, Whimsay presented us with triplet does AI by ++*B Hoach's Lyric Liason - and we freshened all three of them in 2013!  All freshened well, and two are currently still in our herd. Knowing that Whimsay's show career was limited we did take her to the National Show last year where she was 8th.  Whimsay has not freshened for the two years, however she continues to stand on strong feet and legs while watching over the herd.

We were really excited to add this guy to our herdsire lineup last spring; we fell in love with his dam at a show, and thought this guy could add a lot of our herd! This guy doesn't just look nice, he feels even better! He is linebred on the 2013 Reserve National Champion CH Nodaway SGG Raya's Rapture, with her appearing on both sides of the pedigree. So far we have three doe kids out of him that look very nice.  He seems to improve length and width throughout. Even though we have not seen udders, we have seen daughters of Rochester and feel very strongly about using him. Rainmaker daughters had a great showing at the National Show in 2016 placing 1st, 2nd, 2nd, and 4th as well having 1st Place Junior Get of Sire!
