Music is still the class of the farm - very stylish and a beauty to look at, we appreciate her for her correctness and capacious mammary system. Barn records in past years, show that she peaked at over 17 lbs of milk after producing quads in 2004. In 2006, Music surprised us by only having a single doe kid - in actuality this single birth was very good for her in that it caused her to not milk quite as much, leaving the udder a bit tighter all the way around which was a very good thing for a seven year doe. She showed her best placing 5xBOB and 1xBIS; she was the second placed seven year old a older class right behind the National Champion. In 2007, she had two buck kids and again didn't come into as much milk. It took her awhile, but she finally came around and at the National Show, she looked her best. We were proud of her when she topped the class and headed the line up in the champion class. This year she again milked steadily as a nine year old as she again topped her class and went on to be crowned Reserve National Champion and Reserve Best Udder. Music excels in her ability to produce fine offspring; the first place yearling milker, Kickapoo Valley Saga Xylophone is her granddaughter as Music and Xylophone book-ended the championship lineup at the National Show. We will retain any doe kids by *B PLEASANT GROVE SUPER SAGA, but buck kids will be available.

Scandal is one of our favorites, and we said after her yearling year that if she comes in with a lot of milk she would be something...and she has not disappointed us. In 2007, triplet bucks again made her milk and look the best in her life. She was 10xBOB and 5XBIS last year and was 7th at the National Show, placing lower than her 2nd the previous year in the three year old class. This year her twin does by Saga allowed her to milk well and show well. She was again 2nd place with 2nd udder and comprised 4 more BIS wins. She also is passing those strengths on to her offspring. Her daughter, Violence, finished her championship and went one time Best in Show last season. If you are looking for a doe who is strong in general appearance - this doe is the one. We will keep one doe kid from the breeding with *B PLEASANT GROVE SUPER SAGA.

Tradition exemplifies the type of doe we are trying to breed here at Kickapoo Valley. This doe is very exciting - she has by far the finest mammary systems in the herd; high and wide in the rear and long in the fore with perfectly placed teats. As a first freshening two year old, she was 7xGCH, 4xReserve, 3xBOB, and 5th place two year old at the National Show. Last year, she topped her class 6x and was 11th at the National Show. This year she won her class every time shown - she was 1xBOB over the other does. She also excels in general appearance with her lovely shoulder blending and strong feet. Her buck kid from 2007 is in the Diamond Dairy; he should be a winner for both type and production. Tradition's doe kid from *B REDWOOD HILLS STONE AMNESTY placed 3rd place Intermediate doe kid at the National Show and was 1x BIS this season. This year Tradition is bred to *B STRAWBERRY FIELDS JAGGED EDGE.

Speaking of promise, Violence shows a lot of Scandal in her. She is tall and uphill, one of the tallest does in the herd, with a beautiful topline and great blending of the shoulders. Her mammary system is very strong, but was always cute, little, and immature. Given the size of her udder, we were shocked when she placed 3rd at the National Show, but Steve Richter said exactly what we were thinking, if she had it all now, what could she possibly have in the future. As a yearling she was 7x1st. Last season she was nearly undefeated as a two-year old - she was 12th at the National Show given that a single buck did not give her the necessary capacity necessary to place at the top of the line. Again in 2008 she had a single AI doe kid, but her udder was much larger which made her more competitive. We used her buck kid last year with good results, and he now resides in the Pleasant Grove herd. Like her dam we believe she will be outstanding as she matures. Violence will be bred naturally to *B PLEASANT GROVE SUPER SAGA which should truly be a super breeding.

Whimsay, the 2006 Junior National Champion, was a repeat breeding that we made three years ago. We really liked the daughters, but had sold them both, so we were thrilled when there were three does and one buck. From the start, Whimsay was the star - she was 5x1st, 2x2nd, and 4xBIS as a kid. She did not disappoint us when she freshened last spring. Her mammary system is very similar to that of Tradition, and much of last season, judges had a a difficult time believing she was a yearling. She had triplets as a yearling and all three were sold across the United States. This year, Whimsay had a single buck out of ++*B Hoach's Lyric Liason; he now resides in the Roeburn herd. With a single buck, she has milked well, but her udder has looked somewhat stale most of the year. Despite that, she was 1st nearly every time shown with Winona beating her only twice. Whimsay is huge (35 inches at the withers), but she is also a mile long. We really struggled with whom to breed her to, but decided that breeding her back to her sire was certainly worth a shot, so she will be bred to *B PLEASANT GROVE SUPER SAGA.

is one of our favorites. She is so correct and began the carreer going GCH
in her first show as a doe kid; as a yearling she placed over Whimsay 3x going
3x1st and 1xReserve Champion. She was 4th place milking yearling at the
National Show. This season she has nearly taken a back seat to Whimsay
placing second at almost all shows - she was 2x1st and 1x3rd behind
Whynot. Typical of the Saga offspring she is tall, dairy, with a very
correct mammary system. The late May freshening left her a bit thin most
of the season, but she should easily finish her championship next season.
At home when you look at her in the lot, she is always the doe you watch based
on her structural correctness. She is following in her strong dam lines
footsteps and will be bred to *B MUNCHIN HILL ALCATRAZ. KICKAPOO

did not disappoint us when she freshened. She is a medium sized doe who
has grown well throughout the season. Genetically she is e full sister to
Tradition, but she is a bit longer bodied doe than Tradition. Her udder is
especially nice in the rear being very high and wide - the fore udder has become
tighter as she has deepened out. Whynot has always shown well - she was
5th place Junior Kid at the National Show and 6th place dry yearling last year.
This season she was usually 3rd behind Whimsay and Winona, but was 1x 2nd and
Reserve Champion - she only needs one more leg to finish so we look forward to
her completing he championship next season. She is bred AI to *B

in the shadow of the other doe kids last season, Xylophone did not start her
show career looking as if she would be a winner. However, when she
freshened we knew she was a winner. The udder is fantastic - she is tall
and dairy - just a complete package in a young doe. She was 8x1st this
season including her win at the National Show. She is a granddaughter of
Music and looks as if she could be the next in the line of National Show
winners. Xylophone will be bred to *B STRAWBERRY FIELDS JAGGED EDGE. KICKAPOO

Kickapoo Valley False Keynote Xclusive
is the only daughter out of our beautiful Nameworthy whom we lost last winter
only two weeks before she kidded. Nameworthy died in her sleep, but left
us two very nice daughters Xclusive and Xcitement. We sold Xcitement at
the end of the season as we looked at cutting back a bit, but like their dam,
both does had tremendous mammary systems. Xclusive needs to mature, but
she is very tall and has beautiful teats. She was 14th place yearling at
the National Show - she also was 2x1st this season over Xylophone.
Xclusive will be bred to *B STRAWBERRY FIELDS JAGGED EDGE.
